TCETC 2011

The Communication, Computing, and Technology in Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University invited submissions for its 2011 Educational Technology Conference, “TCETC 2011: Technology, Media, and Designs for Learning.”

TCETC 2011 took place on Saturday, May 21st, and Sunday, May 22nd at Teachers College, Columbia University, New York, NY.

Guest Speaker

Shira Ackerman has worked in education and children’s media for over ten years at a wide range of companies, including Nick JR, Scholastic, Sesame Workshop, and Barnes and Noble.com. In those positions she has created and researched content for television, the web, CD Roms, the Wii, the Nintendo DS, the Leaspter, the TAG pen, and both print and eBooks, her current focus. A graduate of Teachers College and the University of Pennsylvania, she holds a Master’s in Curriculum and Teaching and has been an elementary school teacher.
